Travel & accomodation

Kristianstad is located in southern Sweden about one hour drive or train ride from Malmö.
There are very good communications and Kristianstad is easy to access.

Copenhagen International airport Kastrup in Denmark is the best airport if you are going to Kristianstad. At Kastrup you could rent a car and you will have about 1,5 hours drive (135 km highway) to Kristianstad.

But you could also take the train directly from the airport to Kristianstad without any change of train. The ride is about is 1,5 hours and cost about 20 Euro. The train station in Kristianstad is down town, close to most of the hotels and 1,3 km walking to the venue.

If you are going to drive from the continent there are several ways to come to Sweden. If you are coming from western Europe the fastest way is to drive through Hamburg and via Denmark to Sweden.

If you are coming from eastern Europe its nice to take one of the ferries from Germany to Sweden, for example Sassnitz-Trelleborg or Rostock-Trelleborg. Both the venue and most of the hotels is just a few minutes from the highway E22 that runs outside Kristianstad.

As long as you enter the Eurasian continent it probably possible to walk to Kristianstad, but its not recommended. 😉
